A delicous mole(pronunced molay)chili from Lima, Peru,these are the only member of capsicum chinense that is used for the famous meat sauce. they are very low heat, around 1000 SHU, and have a smokey,dried fruit flavor. I am attempting to adapt this pepper to grow in the southeastern United States. So far they show great potential. An absolutely delicious culinary pepper that could be used for many many things.
